About course

The goals of adopting the online course and discipline are to form a certain composition of competencies for students  (clause 5. General characteristics of main educational program) to prepare for professional activities in the field of analysis and control of the pharmaceutical, chemical, and biotechnological industries.

The course "Technology of finished dosage forms" is studied by 1st-year students of the main educational program for the preparation of masters in the specialty 18.04.01 "Chemical technology" in the 1st semester.

Learning outcomes

As a result of adopting the discipline "Technology of finished dosage forms" by the student, the following results should be achieved

  • Able to manage a project at all stages of its life cycle;
  • Capable of professional operation of modern equipment and devices in accordance with the direction and profile of training;
  • Is ready to solve professional production problems - to control the technological process, technological standards for the consumption of materials, to the choice of equipment.

Based on the planned learning outcomes, the competencies are formulated, which should be formed in the study of the discipline "Technology of finished dosage forms".

As a result of mastering the discipline, the student must:

Know:

  • main stages of development of a finished dosage form;
  • the main stages of the technological process for the production of finished dosage forms;
  • modern equipment for the production of finished dosage forms;

Be able to:

  • analyze technical documentation for the manufacture of finished dosage forms;
  • predict the influence of various factors on the technological process of production of finished dosage forms;
  • choose the working conditions for the technological process of the production of FDF;
  • search and select equipment at all stages of the life cycle of manufacturing solid finished dosage forms.


Have:

  • skills in analyzing technical documentation for the manufacture of finished dosage forms;
  • skills in the selection of equipment for the implementation of technological control of finished dosage forms;
  • skills in calculating the material balance for raw materials;
  • skills to control the technological process of production of FDF.

18.04.01 Chemical technology

Course program

The upper block of the electronic course contains general information about the discipline and the electronic course, educational and methodological support of the discipline, applications, a glossary, as well as a course rating plan indicating points for all types of activities. Read these documents before starting training!

Further, the course is divided into 3 modules and an assignment for the course project (module 4) in accordance with the work program.

Each week contains:

1. Information about the achieved learning outcomes.

2. Theoretical material corresponding to the topic (lectures, textbooks in pdf format and other materials necessary for the successful mastering of the discipline).

3. Evaluation materials include various elements (lectures with test questions, tests, practical individual assignments and laboratory work) points for these elements are taken into account in the overall ranking.

4. Additional materials for a successful and in-depth development of the discipline.

Course duration - 18 weeks

Of them:

classroom work - 64 hours

independent work - 152 h.
