Molecular Basis of Drug Action
The course "Molecular Basis of Drug Action" is studied by 1st year students of the main educational program for masters in the specialty 18.04.01 "Chemical technology" in the 2nd semester.
As a result of studying the discipline "Molecular Basis of Drug Action", the student should achieve the following results:
● Ability to perform critical analysis of problem situations based on a systematic approach, to develop an action strategy;
● Ability to search, process, analyze, systematize scientific and technical information on the topic of research, the choice of methods, means of solving the problem.
Learning outcomes
Based on the planned learning outcomes, the competencies are formulated, which should be formed in the study of the discipline "Molecular Basis of Drug Action".
As a result of mastering the discipline, the student must:
To know:
- basic biochemical laws of action of biologically active compounds on organ and cellular targets;
- main sources of scientific and technical information, Internet resources on the molecular basis of drug action;
To be able to:
- analyze information on the action of drugs based on a systematic approach;
- systematize scientific and technical information on the molecular basis of drug action.
To have skills:
- the ability to critically analyze the effect of drugs on biological targets;
- the ability to search, analyze and systematize scientific and technical information on the molecular basis of drug action.

Course program
The initial block of the electronic course contains general information about the discipline and the electronic course, educational and methodological support of the discipline, applications, a glossary, as well as a rating plan for the course indicating points for all activities. Read these documents before starting the training!
The course is divided into 3 modules and the Final task (credit) (module 4) in accordance with the work program.
Each week contains:
1. Information about the achieved learning outcomes.
2. Theoretical material corresponding to the topic (lectures, textbooks in pdf format and other materials necessary for the successful mastering of the discipline).
3. Test materials include various elements (lectures with test questions, tests, practice assignments and laboratory work) points for these elements are taken into account in the overall ranking.
4. Additional materials are intended for a more in-depth study of the discipline.

Course duration - 18 weeks;
Time load of the course - 108 hours:
1. classroom work - 48 hours;
2. independent work of students - 60 hours.
